CacheAlaska's top product came to be while the owner/entrepreneur was on vacation to Hawaii. It's true, even the hardiest of Alaskans like to warm up once in a while and vacation in the other piece of Non-continuous US paradise. For this entrepreneur, as it is for many, a good vacation is what brought about the initial motivation to take action for their latest product.
On the five hour plus plane ride, the owner realized a good way to relax and let the time pass is to watch a movie. Getting out that bulky laptop from other overhead compartment might now be an option if sitting at window seat. Renting a sub standard video player with terrible sound for $15 isn't a good option either.
The solution, "Why not use my Large Screen phone to watch a couple of those movies I've been too busy to watch." The owner quickly devised a little stand to prop up his large screen phone and began to watch the movie without having to haul out the bulky laptop or tablet pc. Thus the kickstand case product sprouted it's first signs of life.
The next glimmer of inspiration came out on the Beach sitting under the umbrella watching the waves, looking for the perfect surf break. The entrepreneur's wife forgot to pack the portable wireless speaker normally used to listen to the Hawaiian Music; a perfect complement to a glorious day at the beach.
The Solution came: "Hey, my smart phone comes with a really good sounding speaker. I will just prop up my phone up so everyone can hear the music. It's sounds great. If only my phone had it's own stand I wouldn't have to prop it up on something only to have it slide down on it's front or back ruining the good sound."
The entrepreneur spirit kicked in, "Most people do not have a kickstand case for their large screen phone." A kickstand will allow people to get the most from their awesome new phone while protecting it and transforming it into a mobile entertainment center rather than just a mobile phone."
