The company asked the manufacturer for stronger and larger plates with more iron to enable the Car phone Mount to attach to mobile phones more firmly and easily.There are two plates provided, a larger rectangle plate and a smaller circular plate. The rectangle plate is meant to be placed inside the phone case, while the circular plate has a sticky surface to adhere to the outside of the Smartphone. Nettohome did indicate that thicker mobile phone cases like an Otterbox make it very difficult for any magnet to hold a phone including Nettohome's. The company also indicated they increased the size of the magnet which is part of the car phone stand. This higher quality magnet was designed to hold virtually any universal mobile phone provided the phone case is not too thick, or the phone is not too heavy.
The other main part is the suction device that allows the car mount to attach to the windshield or dashboard. Nettohome's suction was designed to be stronger and therefore hold the mount rigidly to a windshield or dashboard. The company recently indicated that many users have attached the car mount to the windshield for months and it remains strong and in place. It really sticks to the car surfaces and becomes part of the car said one customer. "I just put it in place and have not moved it or adjusted it since" "And I have one in each vehicle now"
