(IT-NEWSWIRE.COM, April 23, 2015 ) Dublin, Ireland -- Significant differences in user experience between Amazon seller central USA and Europe affect sales according to a report released today. A professional online selling company sells a number of products in partnership with Amazon in both the USA and Europe and has noticed major differences between the two sites which impacts on sales and company decisions on where to sell products. The report was released in Dublin earlier to day prior to the annual board meeting which is scheduled for May 1.
'Amazon Seller Central USA is pretty intuitive and there are some great videos to help people get started and trouble shoot any problems. However Amazon Seller Central Europe is significantly more complex'.
According to the report there are particular challenges if trying to have the UK as the main site and dispatch goods from there. It is quite a challenge to list an own brand product in France, Italy, Spain and Germany as it involves creating a listing in these countries so that the ASIN is registered. Then that product is linked to Amazon UK and the listings deleted in the France, Spain, Italy and Germany and a link created between Amazon UK and these mainland European countries.
'We found it really hard to find out how to do it and eventually found a really helpful seller support agent who knew how to do it' said company spokeswoman from Dublin today'.
'We now sell one of our main products in the USA and Europe but have been reluctant to list our new sage smudge sticks because of reluctance to take on the whole palaver again. Having said that sales of our Saint Joseph house selling statue in Europe now equal and are set to exceed our sales in the USA. However we lost significant income due to the delays in getting properly set up in Europe' she added.
More details of the SWOT analysis of selling on Amazon will be presented at the annual meeting next month.
