JLM Security Products Releases Upgraded MiniMag GPS Tracker Magnetic Case On Amazon

(IT-NEWSWIRE.COM, May 16, 2015 ) Gulfport, MS -- JLM Security Products, a worldwide provider of innovative surveillance and security solutions, announces the sale of their upgraded MiniMag GPS tracker magnetic case on Amazon.com. "This is a great new product and Amazon.com is a great launching platform" said Jeff Monson, owner of JLM Security Products, LLC.

"After much time and research, we have finally come up with a solution that keeps end-users from losing their expensive GPS devices." Jeff also said, "We have very specific guidelines and recommendations as to how exactly these GPS cases should be used, from exactly how the GPS device should be placed in the case, to where to actually deploy it on a vehicle. Many customer find this challenging, because there are so many places you could stick it, but need to know which is best. This has led some end-users to place the case in some areas that are not good for getting GPS signals to their device, or placing it in a location where it can easily fall off because they're not using the magnet correctly, mounting it vertically, or mounting it so low that road debris, a pot hole, or a speed bump can knock it off of the vehicle. We have alleviated this by creating a product that has a magnet that is not only 3 times as strong, but 3 times as small. This eliminates some of the guess work, because, since this magnet has 100 pounds of pulling force, it really doesn't matter where you mount it. Our customers can't believe the strength of this magnet. We also include, free of charge, our guide to recommended use of the case, as well as our recommendations on proper placement of the GPS device on the underside of vehicles. This PDF document gets delivered right to the customer's Amazon messages inbox."

At its core, the product is very simple. It's a small box with a pot magnet attached to the bottom. It's the engineering of the product that makes it stand out from JLM's competitors. Most all products of this type use the standard type of magnet commonly found holding a photo to a refrigerator - a ferrite magnet. While great for refrigerators, these types of magnets sometimes have problems when used for mounting on the underside of a vehicle. Rough terrain, pot holes, and speed bumps, or any other sudden impact can cause the magnet to release, along with the user's expensive GPS device.

JLM Security Products' MiniMag is equipped with what's called the third generation of Rare Earth magnets - a mixture of neodymium, iron, and boron, and it's plated with pure nickel to protect it from corrosion (and it makes the magnet very attractive as well). Neodymium magnets are much stronger than ferrite magnets, so they can be made much smaller and do a better job holding the case securely. Since the magnet is only 1.125 inches in diameter and 0.25 inches in thickness, it is 3 times smaller (and 3 times stronger), which provides a plethora of options for placement. It allows the user to use the entire magnet just about anywhere under the vehicle. With the larger and less strong ferrite magnets, this was a problem as users were placing them in locations under the vehicle where they were using only half of the magnet, which cuts the already weaker magnet's strength in half. With a smaller and stronger magnet, there is much less guesswork involved.
