According to the research study by the NSC, 26% of all car accidents are caused by drivers who are engrossed on their cellphones. About 5% of this statistic is actually attributed to texting while driving. The number is growing each year and texting while driving has already been banned in 41 states in the US. According to experts, this could be because there are a lot of people who still type their replies to messages rather than placing calls. In the cellphone accessories industry, there is a growing demand for car phone mounts. This seems to be parallel with people wanting to limit their time on the phone while driving.
