(IT-NEWSWIRE.COM, July 16, 2015 ) San Francisco, Ca -- There are many new Smartphone and TV applications now available. Google Cast is a home entertainment app for your smart phone and it works with Hulu, Netflix, iHeart radio, and Pandora to name a few. To use Google Cast a user will need a Google Cast ready device. Chromecast is a device slightly bigger than a USB stick. A person plugs it into an HDMI port on a television and powers it either from a USB port or a socket. Users then download and set up a free app and a person is ready to start casting. A typical use maybe to take a family video or unique video like a wedding, or first skydive and cast it from a Smartphone to a TV. This could be a unique application for friends or family gatherings. Nettohome said since the Smartphone is now a remote control device a user can attached the iPhone to Nettohome's mount and cast it without always holding onto the phone. The company said it makes it easier for a user to talk about the video being cast when it is resting on the magnetic phone mount. The company said this turns the car mount into a podium.
The company said there are other applications for this home entertainment set up like Google Cast for audio which brings the technology to a persons speakers, so users can cast music and other audio from a mobile phone, tablet or computer to surround sound speakers. Google Cast works on an Android phone, iPhone or iPad, which also works with Nettohome's mobile phone mount. Again, once a user is connected to WiFi in a home or backyard they open a google cast ready app and click a video and see and cast it on a TV.
There are other similar home entertainment devices like Apple's AirPlay media streaming. This also requires an established WiFi network to play it. Amazon has created a similar tool recently called Amazon Fling. It is a way to control entertainment media to Fire TV. Nettohome said each of these mediums send audio or video from a mobile phone to a TV. So in each case the company said Nettohome's Smartphone mount can be used as a podium for this new home entertainment technology. The company said this can also be used in business. If a company has a hotel event video or a realtor has a video of a home then that person can cast it on the office conference room TV for staff or clients.
