(IT-NEWSWIRE.COM, September 29, 2015 ) Wilmington, Delaware -- The prevailing assumption is that the company is using some old cell phone type battery. However, the company has claimed in a recent blog post that the previous batteries were discontinued and that a new more durable battery was silently put into freshly manufactured products. Though there were no complaints of fires or explosions with the old battery the company has said in the blog post that the newer batteries use a new technology which allows for longer use and better durability.
In recent years, there have been a number of reports of batteries exploding and catching fire. Often times manufacturers will cover the item with a warranty and offer a replacement. But the issue can often cause physical harm too. That said one out of probably a hundred batteries are defective and can be a fire hazard. The probability of causing physical harm is even lower despite what most people think. That said lithium ion batteries though credited with durability often wear out within a year. The ability for the battery to hold on to a charge slowly but surely reduces. But the new battery technology according to Stunning Gadgets will last longer especially since finding a replacement battery has up until lately been difficult.

There are numerous battery technologies in development around the world in this survival gear niche. However, the best developments are often small incremental steps but the future according to some experts is carbon nanotubes that can hold a much larger charge for a longer period of time. But lithium-ion technology will be incrementally improved over the next couple of years so that every survival kit will have them until new battery technologies can become more mainstream and cheaper to manufacture.
