The New Card Armor Credit Card Protector Sleeve Launches On Amazon

The New Clear Face RFID Blocking Sleeve

(IT-NEWSWIRE.COM, October 02, 2015 ) Sunnyvale, CA -- The Card Armor company, which manufactures a see-through rfid blocking sleeve for credit cards, announced today that it has launched a new product on Amazon. Now one can buy the most advanced state-of-the-art protector sleeve in America for just a couple bucks.

What makes it so important?

Last year ID theft topped $50 billion. New technology allows common criminals greater ability to snatch money from even very careful credit card holders. Simple wallets, purses and clothing cannot now protect the unsuspecting victim of identity theft. The technology meant to protect consumers now leaves them vulnerable in a new way: unauthorized rfid (radio frequency identification) scans.

This is how it works. Microchips are now being found in cards with identifying information such as credit cards, drivers licenses, passports, library cards, school ID cards, transit cards, etc. This allows information to be exchanged easily such as when at a checkout counter where a simple pass of a card will complete the transaction instantly.

Because chip cards are set up to exchange information whenever they get within range of a scanner, they are vulnerable to the new crime of unauthorized scans. Thieves buy rfid scanners, not unlike the kind used at checkout counters, and keep them hidden in a pocket. Standing on a busy street corner they can scan hundreds of cards of passersby (up to 20 feet). Such sensitive information as names, addresses, credit card numbers, etc. are vulnerable to such scans and result in very real theft.

Now that new rfid chip has been mandated to be embedded in every single credit card issued in the USA as of October 2015, the risks are mounting. Although not signed into law, it carries a liability shift for the issuing banks with the potential to bankrupt any institution if not complied with.

The problem of unauthorized scans was never really addressed directly but fortunately there is a solution. A simple protector sleeve or rfid blocking sleeve for a few bucks will prevents unauthorized scans. Made of paper or plastic, they can be inserted into one's wallet easily. The downside is that they can crease or tear and eventually wear out. They also can become unsightly when wearing out. Any of the opaque sleeves are harder to use because one cannot identify one's credit cards without pulling them out to see which card is in them.

One card solves all those problems. Announcing: "The Card Armor" - a newly designed (patent pending) rfid blocking sleeve made to protect one's identity.

It passes test evaluations with flying colors on every point:

The Card Armor card protector sleeve is now available on Amazon.com.
