(IT-NEWSWIRE.COM, October 11, 2015 ) San Francisco, CA -- Mac and iPhone users are about to enjoy some of the Kindle benefits that PC users have long enjoyed. Apple fans have long been locked in to non-open source applications. Many Mac users don't know they can enjoy their Kindle books in PDF format on any device including iPhone and iPad.
Creating a Kindle to PDF converter for the Mac was a unique challenge. Not simply because of the Apple's OS restrictions, but because the core AZW Mac files are hidden from the user by default and users often don't know how to access these files. The DRM Stomper Kindle converter for Mac hopes to change that by making all AZW and locked document files available right in the software dashboard.
Current file formats for PDF conversion include AZW, AZW2, AZW3 and other DRM protected document file formats. The file converter allows for the import of multiple file formats so that an entire library of Kindle books and other documents can be converted to PDF in one session.
Calibre has provided a limited amount of resources for AZW and Kindle conversion; the software however has been fairly inconsistent on newer AZW file formats. DRM Stomper hopes to change that with an online Kindle to PDF converter. The online version of the application is slated for release in the 4th quarter of 2016, while the desktop version will make its debut December of 2015.
A mobile version of the application which will allow non-supported Kindle devices to enjoy their Kindle books on any device that supports PDF. The application will not be limited to Android and iOS, but will expand to include Nokia and BlackBerry devices. Especially useful for travelers as well as those living in countries where the native Kindle application is not supported.
DRM Stomper has released a dynamic 'roadmap' of their developments and visitors are welcome to comment on their timeline and participate with other users. Previous releases include a DRM converter for iTunes as well as an audiobook to MP3 converter.
