(IT-NEWSWIRE.COM, July 25, 2015 ) Wilmington, Delaware -- Over a period of just six months the company has hired not only customer service people but trainers, and a number of industry experts to help with making sure that customers feel covered when buying gadgets from the company. However, the prevailing feeling across many inside the company was that more can be done and so in order to go that extra mile Stunning Gadgets may start running the customer service department 24/7 especially with the new Solar Panel Power Bank starting from January 2016, according to an internal memo.
While there are many tech businesses and online stores offering 24/7 customer services there are times when reaching the customer service department may be impossible. This is even though the company may think that there are more people manning the phones and emails than needed. Plus, hiring more people means a larger overhead and not just in salaries but in seating space, computers, insurance etc. So, Stunning Gadgets will need to strike the right balance between delivering the best possible service and yet by ensuring that costs are manageable. Many businesses have learnt the hard way that customer service may perhaps add to customer satisfaction but that does not always amount to sales especially if the products' prices go up.
"Right now one of our biggest priorities at Stunning Gadgets is to make sure that our customers feel as though they can always get in touch with us. In the past, there have been a few complaints about our phones being busy because someone called us after business hours. However, generally speaking, 90% of calls and emails are answered right away. That said we still feel that there is more that can be done. Obviously, it has to be properly planned. We are not hiring more customer service people at the moment, but we may if needed." said the manager for the customer relations department "It wouldn't be right for me to comment on the internal memo as it's confidential but if needed we will not hesitate to make sure that we are available 24/7 in a couple of shifts to accommodate our new solar battery charger customers. "
While Stunning Gadgets will neither confirm nor deny the contents of the memo, one thing that is very clear is the company is serious about making buyers happy. So, even if that means that the overhead goes up the company may consider it if its deemed the step to be in the best interest of buyers. This is obviously a positive step for a tech firm in an industry where many calls and emails by anxious buyers go unanswered.
