Stunning Gadgets Will Not Use Graphine For At Least Another Year

a gadget with a difference

(IT-NEWSWIRE.COM, July 31, 2015 ) Wilmington, Delaware -- Though many of the comments on the blog posts showed that people were interested in graphene-based products the company has denied working on any such technology. This is in addition to the fact that Stunning Gadgets has said that it was open to working on and with new materials but didn't disclose the nature of the materials. Maybe the revelation of working on new materials prompted many to assume that a popular upcoming product i.e. graphene may be on the table. But it's something that the company has both officially and unofficially (current employees) deny.

Graphene is technically an allotrope of carbon with a hexagonal lattice. It is also the basic structural element for many other allotropes like carbon nanotubes, fullerenes, charcoal and graphite. Graphene has a couple of extraordinary properties. One of the most interesting and perhaps most useful for Stunning Gadgets is its 200 times stronger than regular steel, plus it also conducts electricity and heat more efficiently. The added advantage is that it's transparent. So, it's not farfetched to think that Stunning Gadgets may switch a couple of gadgets like the Pocket Chainsaw to graphene to improve the strength and durability of the saw itself. However, the company's official word is that graphene-based products are not going to be considered for at least a year owing to a number of technical hurdles.

"We are well aware of the properties of graphene, we are also aware of the technological hurdles this material poses. Over the past couple of months, we have been considering a couple of new materials and we can confirm that graphene has been one of those materials. However, after much thought it would take us at least a year to bring a fully functional graphene-based product to the market. We need to be 100% clear on what products can best benefit from the material and then extensively test it." said the lead technical officer for Stunning Gadgets "Right now there are a couple of things holding us back but hopefully once that's sorted out you will see the first graphene-based products soon."

Stunning Gadgets has over the years earned a reputation for making some of the best gadgets and pushing the technological envelope. However, in the case of using new materials often it can backfire if not extensively tested. It is for this reason that Stunning Gadgets may have decided to hold off on the decision until proper product testing has been conducted as the introduction of its new solar panel phone charger is imminent.
