Aiming to gather locksmiths from across the nation, SOPL enlists top tier instructor and innovators in the locksmith industry to cultivate new skills and outlooks on professionals and novices alike. Their tagline, "Retool your Industry - Retool Your Business - Retool Yourself" mostly captures what the expo covers.
Woodlow promotes this event in order to help colleagues to be equipped with the right knowledge to stay in the business. The three-day boot camp incorporates technical and marketing seminars. Attendees can choose courses to take, which one can conveniently obtain reservations through SOPL’s website.
The locksmith service in Waterford shares some of the event’s previews. Some of the courses offered includes automotive and automation overviews, security cameras, ways to market the business and the use of social media. There are also seminars that require pre-requisite skills, such as Ford and Chrysler vehicle security certifications, transponder programming and safe manipulation. Some offers kits and equipments for attendees, which they can take home to use in their profession.
Public access presentations are available for new locksmiths, teaching them how to read, write and understand the arithmetic of locks. Beginners will study spatial relationships, computer technology and basic geometry, which are necessary for locksmith expertise. A burglary prevention forum is opened for consumers and business owners in order to incorporate better defenses in their entryways.
