(IT-NEWSWIRE.COM, August 22, 2015 ) Wilmington, Delaware -- Though the company has been adamant in the past about not reducing the size of some products, the company seems to be changing direction. One reason for the change in stance is the fact that new research and technology may have made it possible for the company to shrink the size of certain products. Each year many tech companies work on shrinking technology case in point being the cell phone industry which continues to introduce people to a slimmer and lighter model every year. Though some of it is just good marketing, actually reducing the size of already compact products is a big challenge.
Stunning Gadgets published a blog post lately talking about some gadgets especially in the survival gear niche requiring an update. One update as mentioned in the post would be lighter and smaller versions. However, the blog post didn't go into details about which products would be made lighter and smaller. That said by making products smaller and lighter one possible problem that the company may encounter is durability. It really goes without saying that thinner items are comparatively more delicate. Plus, ones that have been heavily padded to ensure protection against drops and spills may have to be unpadded or a new type of padding would have to be used. All of which is technically challenging though not impossible given that Stunning Gadgets has a sizable R&D department with emphasis on the Survival Gadgets niche.
"There are a number of technical challenges posed by many of the gadgets that we want to rethink and make lighter. However, our team tells us that a lot of it is possible. We also need to keep in mind that the products we slim down are equally if not more efficient and durable. As a tech company, we are committed to innovating and making things better. Though these changes may not be made to survival gear since with this type of equipment the objective is to save lives and so a few millimeters and grams does not make a huge difference." said the lead technical manager for Stunning Gadgets over the phone "The way I see it we may not be able to introduce the thinnest and lightest product by next year but probably by 2017 if things work in our favor."
Stunning Gadgets is currently garnering a great deal of praise for a number of innovative gadgets. However, if further improvements can be made it will only help the company become more valuable in the eyes of investors and buyers.
