Photocathode tubes convert photons of light into electrons. Electrons are then converted to visible light by throwing them against a phosphorous screen. Hence, it makes objects visible even in a dark environment. Because of the improved safety concerns, night vision systems have become a part of advanced safety systems. These improved safety features, which are a part of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) , also work well in adverse conditions such as bad weather and poor visibility in night.
